Adoption has the dimension of connection - not only to your own tribe, but beyond, widening the scope of what constitutes love, ties and family. It is a larger embrace. By adopting, we stretch past our immediate circles and, by reaching out, find an unexpected sense of belonging with others.

This week we want to highlight two siblings that were previously matched with a family who couldn't complete the adoption due to a family situation. These siblings are excited to meet a family that is willing and able to travel to Bulgaria!

This precious little girl is described as sociable, affectionate and radiant.  She LOVES sports! She used to do gymnastics and is now apart of the folk dance club in her country. She loves to do crafts and especially enjoys martenitsas, which is a traditional Bulgarian bracelet for March 1st. She has highly developed communication skills and is in good control of her emotions. She is well liked in school and plays with neighborhood children. She and her brother have a very strong relationship, and they must be adopted together.

This young boy, born in October, is ready to be adopted with his sister. His caretakers state that he is very attentive, empathetic, tolerant and shows steady concentration. He is quiet and calm. Unlike his sister, he sometimes enjoys being alone and doing independent activities. He is very caring towards his sister and is very protective of her. He likes to help his sister with math because she readily seeks his help and advice. He is inquisitive and diligent in his school work. As he is in the process of developing his identity, he is highly motivated for accomplishments.

These two children are ready to come home! They are so bright and loving. Our #WaitingChildren are incredible!

Their adoption will require international travel. If you would like more information please contact the KidsFirst office and ask for Inna Pecar at 317-843-2300. We are typically able to provide many pictures, a medical certificate and psychological report, as well as other documentation, about our waiting children.
