Creating an Adoption Plan

Straightforward steps to creating an adoption plan

Complete preliminary paperwork and answer some key questions.

What are your hopes and expectations?
What is your support system?
Is the father in the picture?
Do you need help with transportation?

What kind of adoption do you want?

Choose a family.

We have books with the details on our waiting families. We are a multicultural agency and we work with all backgrounds, races and sexual preferences. We don’t see differences; we see qualified families. We can help you to find the perfect family for your child. We don’t place children for adoption unless the family is truly a right fit.

Get matched.

If there’s a mutual match, then you will have the opportunity interview the family and/or to meet them. You can choose to let them be as involved in the process of your pregnancy as you’d like. If you prefer more privacy, that is okay too. We designate all of these details in your adoption plan.

Hospital plan & post-placement agreement.

Here you tell us how you would like your hospital stay to go and whether you would like some time with baby alone after birth or whether or not your adoptive family will be in the hospital with you during labor, for example.

Give birth & consent to adoption.

You have anywhere from 24 to 48 hours (depending on the state) to finalize the adoption.

Receive updates and pictures of your child.

All of our adoptive families are open to some communication including pictures and updates.
